Sparkling CBD Jell-O Shots for Sober September

Ditching the booze doesn’t mean ditching the fun

Here is my take on a sparkling Jell-O ‘shot’ that’s jam packed with flavor and healthy plant compounds that will make your tastebuds and your insides smile.

You will need:

  • 3 oz of lemon-flavored Jell-O
  • ½ cup filtered water
  • 1 can (12 oz) High Peaks Black Cherry CBD Seltzer Water
  • Maraschino Cherries
  • Whipped Cream

Boil the ½ cup of filtered water and add it to a bowl of the lemon Jell-O sugar, whisking until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the whole can of High Peaks Black Cherry CBD Seltzer and stir gently. This will foam, don’t be alarmed!

You can pour your mixture into a small bowl or casserole dish as you would regular Jell-O and portion the shots out later, or you can pour this into the shot glasses now, it’s up to you!

Allow to set in the fridge until firm, about four hours. Unlike regular Jell-O, you’re going to have fun little bubbles that form and firm up on top, like Jell-O but bedazzled!

Garnish with whipped cream and a Maraschino Cherry! Because why not? (Keep in mind that if you poured these straight into the shot glass, you will have to use your finger or a tool to free the Jell-O from the sides of the glass before shooting.)

These tasty treats will be bright and light, perfect to enjoy as an after dinner non-alcoholic aperitif, scratching that Limoncello itch! The black cherry flavor of the seltzer pops against the lemony sweetness of the Jell-O and is accentuated with the prelude of the Maraschino Cherry. Not too shabby for a non-alcoholic shot, if I do say so myself!
